INDUSTRY NIGHT

Industry Night is open to the public, and everyone is welcome. Over the years, we’ve had a wide range of creative professionals, artists, entrepreneurs, and curious newcomers attend — including filmmakers, cinematographers, producers, directors, photographers, musicians, editors, actors, writers, content creators, designers, marketing professionals, event producers, AV technicians, students, and business owners. Most attendees are local to New Hampshire and New England, but we’ve also had people travel in from across the United States and even Europe to visit Studio Lab and connect with the community here. Industry Night has brought together groups and organizations like the New Hampshire Film Festival, Women in Film & Video New England (WIFVNE), touring artists, agency teams, and award-winning directors and producers. Whether you’re an industry veteran or just getting started, it’s a great opportunity to meet creative people, build relationships, exchange ideas, and become part of the growing creative community surrounding Studio Lab.

No two Industry Nights are exactly the same — and that’s part of what makes them special. There’s usually no formal agenda, presentation, or structure. Industry Night is designed to be a relaxed environment where people can gather, connect, and enjoy spending time together. Some nights people hang out around the fires at Fire N Gin. Other nights there may be studio tours, gear demos, live music, games, film screenings, or sets on display inside the studio. Sometimes the conversations revolve around filmmaking, technology, production, and creative work. Other times, people simply enjoy good food, good company, and the opportunity to meet others in the creative community. At its core, Industry Night is about bringing people together. It’s a place where friendships are formed, collaborations begin, ideas are shared, and creative people from different backgrounds can connect in a genuine and welcoming environment.

Industry Night at Studio Lab doesn’t feel like a traditional networking event — because it isn’t one. There are usually no name tags, sales pitches, awkward icebreakers, or formal agendas. Instead, it’s a relaxed and authentic environment where creative people naturally connect through shared interests, conversations, and experiences. What makes Industry Night special is the mix of people and the sense of community. Industry veterans, aspiring creatives, business owners, artists, technicians, students, and curious newcomers all end up together. Relationships and collaborations happen naturally, and people simply enjoy the evening instead of feeling “networked.” At its core, Industry Night is less about exchanging business cards and more about building genuine relationships within the creative community.
