The Challenge
Windy Films and the GYK Agency concepted an ambitious series of digital videos featuring Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce and Ken’s Salad Dressing. The assignment would require tabletop food content, exterior lifestyle video, and photography, and outdoor grilled meat shots. 8 videos, 2 products, in 2 days.
The Plan
Studio Lab proved to be an excellent resource for this production. The tabletop food footage was shot in Studio A, utilizing the LED Volume wall to display logo color plates for Sweet Baby Ray’s and a photoreal XR Kitchen for Ken’s. The KIRA Cinema Robot was used for principal photography. Also, the new, portable EVO robot with claw attachment was used to apply sauce to grilled meats and to pour the sauce and dressing consistently and accurately. Meanwhile, a second unit was outside in our “Fire N’ Gin” space, shooting lifestyle photography and grilled meat footage. Just around the corner, Studio B was used for food prep and set storage — making for an efficient shoot.
The Results
Videos that are gorgeous and stomach growling-worthy! The videos are performing beyond expectations, and GYK and Windy Films are thrilled and inspired by the creative tools that Studio Lab offers.
